E-Automation is an embedded system with GENActive which provides services for automatically performing tasks in response to events. It does this in an action/response manner and can be configured from a variety of interfaces and systems.

As an example of e-automation, you can configure GENActive to send a specially crafted email to a specific address upon receipt of an order via e-commerce. Or, as another example of e-automation, you could have transaction data POSTed via HTTP upon receipt of a payment into GENActive e-banking.

E-Automation is very powerful and provides the building blocks for more complex automation tasks to be performed by bespoke client systems. You could, for example, have a HTTP Post command with transaction information posted back to your website upon order acceptance so that your internal systems can despatch the goods, then further use e-automation to produce a despatch note to the customer upon despatch of the goods.

There are a number of interfaces for e-automation, the simplest of which is via the CONFIGURATION system in the GENActive website. With this system you can assign up to 8 automation actions which you can then deploy at transaction level.

E-Automation can be used to generate invoices, purchase orders, quotations, and many more transactions within GENActive. E-Automation when combined with e-DataXChange can be used to deliver custom packaged data to specified recipients.

E-Automation, the smartest commerce automation engine in the world.
